Absolutely. Vantek Roofing is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. We're happy to provide our license number and proof of insurance before any work begins, it should be a non-negotiable requirement for any contractor you hire. Never let an unlicensed roofer work on your home.

The ideal window is May through September when Greater Seattle sees the least rainfall. This allows for the best conditions for adhesive strips on shingles to seal properly. That said, we work year-round using weather-aware scheduling. We never leave your home exposed to weather, if conditions change during a job, we have protocols to keep your home protected.

During our busy season (May, September), we typically book 2, 4 weeks out. In the fall and winter months, scheduling is often faster. If you have a leak or emergency, let us know, we'll do our best to get you in as quickly as possible and provide temporary protection in the interim.

Yes. Vantek pulls all required permits with your local municipality before work begins. In Bellevue, Kirkland, Renton, and most King County cities a permit is required for a full reroof. We handle the entire permit process and work does not begin until the permit is approved. Permit cost is included in your proposal.

We submit the permit application to your city or county building department on your behalf. Most municipalities in King County approve roofing permits within a few business days. Once approved we schedule your install. After the job is complete the permit is closed out and your roof is on record as a permitted installation, which matters when you sell the home.

If a roof is replaced without a permit and you later sell the home, the unpermitted work can come up during inspection and delay or kill the sale. Some homeowners insurance policies also require permitted work. Pulling the permit protects your investment and keeps everything above board.

We cover this in every contract upfront. If we find rotted decking during tear-off we stop, show you the affected area, and get your approval before proceeding. Decking replacement is charged per sheet at a pre-agreed rate listed in your contract. Extra shingle layers if discovered are handled the same way. No surprises.
